JR BUCS TRACK & FIELD INFORMATION
Season Starts in January and runs through mid April
Sun. 2:00pm-4:00pm, Tues. & Thurs. 6:30pm-8:15pm
Meets: 5-6 Meets typically
First day of practice: Tuesday, January 10th at the Allatoona HS Track
Thank you for your interest in the Junior Bucs Track program! Here at the Junior Bucs, we strive to create a positive environment where young athletes can learn the about various track and field events while developing positive character traits of teamwork, sportsmanship, and goal setting. Our program offers practices three times per week, on Sunday afternoons, and Tuesday and Thursday in the evening. Our program offers instruction in many different events from the Sprints (100m, 200m), Mid-Distance (400m, 800m), as well as distance events (1600m and 3200m), selected field events (Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump and Pole Vault) and even relays (4x100m and 4x400m). Typically, athletes participate in 2 running events and 1 field event. The coaching staff will help to direct students to events in which they are best suited, but kids are highly encouraged to try them all out to see which ones they like best.
Coach Marcia Cutts is a life long track athlete and attended Central Michigan University. She has been an Assistant Track Coach for 3 years and a speed and agility Coach for the last 6 years.
